Tbh if Malf could be made into a chain again, it'd be a killer up there with the best of em. Having a chain that bashes dodge somewhat reliablely, pulls massive OB and deals massive damage would make it fairly up to par with Justice. To be honest malf is a monster against Tower channelers after the HP adjustment, granted I've only used it on a character with postures and attack, but being able to kill a full hp channeler in a 4-6 frags is insanely good, especially with how channies are usually the "ace in the sleeve" for LS. Granted Dreadlords feel the same from Justice these days, although it feels like the bonus dmg is better against Tower fcs, granted that is only anecdotal and likely from the fact that I've never used Justice on a character with attack, and Dreadlords used to be rather scarce in PK compared to Tower folks.

Really the only change needed as I see it is either make Justice a mirror of current malfeasor- ie an abs weapon, make it only have extra damage against remorts or change malf back into a chain and keep stuff as it is. Granted some of this might need coding, unsure if you can change either Justice/Malf stats without tinkering with its coding?

While Justice is super good in its current form, its really when Warders get it that it becomes incredibly stupid. The additional 10 ob from bond means you are running around with 220+ ob brave/offensive and multibash on top of that*shiver*.

Alot of people, including the above poster seems to persist in some fable that Malfeasor damage somehow is higher then Justice damage. This just isnt true: they both have 8d5 + double against either Tower channies/whole of DS, depending on Malf/Justice. To speak in current popular terms: stop spreading fake news!

Instead listen to fade news ;)

I am still at odd why Malf is for years now only damage against Tower channies and not the whole side. Especially after merging SS and LS, the whole argument to make it bonus against LS, only gets better.

They're both 5d8 and +1.5x damage bonus but yea, I don't get it either! Something something our side is "too bonused" is what I hear a lot apparently.

Seriously.. Haven't you not been reading anything? Justice and malfeasor do the SAME damage.

Just because Malfeasor only does it against Tower channelers does not make it do more damage.

Just because you can pull a log of 2 zerk ABS masters smashing one dodge wearing channeler who had channie hps even back then, does not prove anything contrary to justice being able to do the same thing.

Put a DL in dodge in place of Hikiko with 2 zerk abs masters on him/her, and you see the exact same thing. Also, I get fragged through shining breastplates by people using justice regularly myself.

To answer your question, yes it does. Not sure what you people don't understand.

Second: I believe Hiroko had absolute garbage hps when that log happened.

I got that the damage is the same. What I meant is does it have the same impact, because a normal DS player will not drop that % of hps in terms of their total hps - i.e you won't die in one bash afaik because you don't have channies hps. So the impact on your side isn't the same I think? It doesn't one-shot your ace damage dealer.

Anyway I was just curious about how you see the relative impact. As such I think the justice damage should be on remorts only and it neither weapon should be on already bonused chars.
