If tomorrow all my things were gone,
I'd worked for all my life.
And I had to start again,
With just my children and my wife.

I'd thank my lucky stars,
To be livin' here today.
'Cause the flag still stands for freedom,
And they can't take that away.

And I'm proud to be an American,
Where at least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died,
Who gave that right to me.
And I gladly stand up,
Next to you and defend her still today.
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.

From the lakes of Minnesota,
To the hills of Tennessee.
Across the plains of Texas,
From sea to shining sea.

From Detroit down to Houston,
And New York to L.A.
Well there's pride in every American heart,
And its time we stand and say.

That I'm proud to be an American,
Where at least I know I'm free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
Who gave that right to me.
And I gladly stand up,
Next to you and defend her still today.
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.

And I'm proud to be an American,
Where at least I know I'm free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
Who gave that right to me.
And I gladly stand up,
Next to you and defend her still today.
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.

All it takes is a little nationalism and that soothes everything over?

Filling a stadium is not in of itself a good thing but also... we put toddlers in cages in the desert as some kind of show of punishment for people seeking asylum - except I guess that's not a thing anymore because he pulled us out of the UN Human Rights Council (they are mean and unfair to us, you see, the nation that continually ignores international treaties/laws when it suits us).

Here's a thing.

http://www.businessinsider.com/migrant- ... ion-2018-6

Government contractors, including Texas' Shiloh Treatment Center and Virginia's Shenandoah Valley Juvenile Center, have been accused of abusing children and overprescribing psychotropic drugs; the court documents say one child was taking 18 drugs and three meal-replacement shakes a day.

The filings allege that these drugs, which can have serious and permanent side effects, were prescribed often and without parental consent and that many of them weren't approved by the Food and Drug Administration for use by children.

A separate court filing alleges that some children at the Shenandoah facility were strapped down and made to feel suffocated: "Strapped me down all the way; from your feet all the way to your chest, you couldn't really move ... They have total control over you. They also put a bag over your head. It has little holes; you can see through it. But you feel suffocated with the bag on."

An investigation by the Center for Investigative Reporting's Reveal website published Wednesday found that in the past four years, nearly half of the $3.4 billion paid to 71 private companies that house migrant children went to 13 "operating homes facing serious allegations of child mistreatment."

Have mostly been trying to stay outta this thread and observe but... yeesh. Whatever your opinion on the immigration issue I don't see why people shouldn't be treated with dignity. These shows of brutality won't actually stop anyone risking life and limb to get to the border in the first place.

that photo of a kid in cage was debunked. they had a protest with a cage and put kids in it then told them to cry. liberal media were forced to debunk it. even cnn ran an article on it. you can search it yourself in 3 seconds. you actually believed it. this is what is wrong with our world.

I don't base my world views on 1 single image floated around. You're denying that separations and incarceration of little kids was happening entirely? If it wasn't happening then why did Trump sign an executive order to stop it due to huge pressure from everyone including his own party? Why did several major airlines make statements regarding their refusal to transport migrant kids?

The article I posted had nothing at all to do with that image. Court documents don't exist either, I guess.

If you just don't believe anything negative it's no wonder you can't understand why people might not like Trump.

https://www.pbs.org/newshour/nation/imm ... ion-center

Immigrant children as young as 14 housed at a juvenile detention center in Virginia say they were beaten while handcuffed and locked up for long periods in solitary confinement, left nude and shivering in concrete cells.

In addition to the children’s first-hand, translated accounts in court filings, a former child-development specialist who worked inside the facility independently told The Associated Press this week that she saw kids there with bruises and broken bones they blamed on guards. She spoke on condition of anonymity because she was not authorized to publicly discuss the children’s cases.

im willing to concede and work with you. but the thing is, very little has changed with how our govt works since trump was elected. alot of these people coming across the border have kids with them. they have no documentation. how do we know they arent trafficking children. we have to take and hold them and figure it out. you are saying they have to come here because their current environment is so hostile they need to leave. but you also so staying in an air conditioned holding area is terrible for them? come on.

this guy is the most anti politician you will ever see your life

not only that, he is hilarious.

he is a troll

i love to laugh and he made me laugh tons.
im gonna support him, even though it makes people hate me. there has never been a political person like him, they are usually cookie cutter. do you want every politician to be combo? god bless trump

Oh great, a picture I never saw or heard of was debunked as fake. Glad everything is settled now.

Did you like how Trump insulted the supposed pronunciation of "Nevada" by a couple Democrats and then literally used that pronunciation in the very same speech? It's not enough that he can't go a minute without petty insults, but it's stuff he does. What happened to the idea of simply doing his job?

Trolling is not just insulting people. I realize for the simple-minded it's become that, but trolling is a form of intelligence that Trump simply lacks.

im sorry it affected you. in my world im living and pay a ton of taxes, to give retirement to all our old people. our veterans, and our sick. i do this because its the american dream. maybe you live in the uk. which you know, just decided, by their voters, made a huge mistake in joining the eu. which is why they are leaving it. i live by reals, not feels. from what ive seen of the text which you have put out into the internet, you live by feels.

I should add, trolling is also not making nonsensical statements like that. A random tangent unrelated to the conversation; unrelated to the quote. I only responded because you seemed to finally be trying to have a conversation. Oh well.
