Why were you so focused on bashing? You could just eat him alive with melee. Justice(same as other herons) has unreliable bash but huge ob and damage. If you want to win you are supposed to use your advantages but not weak sides.

(1) Without counting, it did seem like he massively outhit you.

(2) I'm sort of skeptical about the quality of your armor - maybe he had a dark grim vs vambraces, but if you aren't constantly mending in abs you are setting yourself up to die. That's more for just anyone and not necessarily you since I can't prove it. Armor is either full or it might as well be chainmail.

(3) Hit fleeing a 1 exit room is always a little interesting. It seems like you started trying to lead with a bash because you figured he'd be spamming, hit you, and then you'd get the bash off to counter the 1st hit. It didn't go your way in those encounters at all.

That said - I think you could have taken it back at the end by exploiting low troll wil. Essentially, while he fled very well at the beginning of the log he definitely had fleelag at the end. Trolls will essentially always flee worse than humans. So when a human has a troll in a room - especially a 1 exit room and you both the at the same time the human flee is often going to go through 1st. This allows people chasing trolls to flee after the troll has already fled and be waiting for them in the next room and what not. I'm pretty sure - could be wrong - but pretty sure that in those moments where you fled and beat him out the room and watched him DL back north that you actually could have fled - walked back in and hit him in his fleelag while he was still in the process of fleeing thereby picking up a free hit and possibly making his lag worse. Instead he made it back in to the room without you being there and thereby had the chance to 1st hit again.

Open to being wrong, but sort of think its the case. Troll fleeing is normally le crap and when both flee at the same time the human may have a lead in coming out ahead.

Yes definitely (to Cru and Eol), in hindsight I should have really focused on melee and tried to get more hits in. Good thoughts about the human fleelag and re-engaging - also makes me think I could have also just set an autowimpy for this. I'm too used to gunning for bashed hits (for non-berserk melee).

To be fair, its bash rate against abs is going to be just as reliable as any other non-club bashing weapon :P, and its bash rate against dodge is better than any heron since Justice was changed to an abs weapon. Just bad rolls :/

But also yes, melee vs absers.
