The Great Escape (aka bad zone knowledge)

of Maredo have formed a small encirclment around a clear pond. The earth
underneath seems made of limestone, giving the water its clear fresh
appearance.

Our story finds our adventurer somewhere east of Far Madding. After getting smashed by Kendall and friends, his band of miscreants has scattered to the wind. He runs east of Lugard in search of a waygate. However, at this point, he is pretty sure he passed it, and is now regaining moves, hoping to not be discovered...

Tunnels of Roots
Bits of roots, some as small and fine as hair, and others as thick as a
man's leg, hang from the upper curve of the tunnel here. Tiny drips of water
trickle down from the forest floor above, making the footing underneath
slightly muddy and slippery. An odd natural effect has made some of the
roots to the west look as if they are covered in tiny amber crystals, a
result of the sap of the tree dripping out and hardening.
