Didn't they do away with Dead Men Tell no Tales? I recall that being the lay of the land last time I was active, but that was a long while ago, was it brought back? In a game with characters that never actually die it never really made any sense to me.

Seems everyone thinks its something different! Would be great to get some clarification from staff around this particularly given the rate of change lately.

I always imagined that you do in fact die but we are all legends that get rewoven into the weave. Some of us that are more frequently rewoven must be extra legendary even though they die more and that doesn't make a lot of sense.

As an update, I am now Tar Valon wanted which is really just an invitation for me to more proactively hunt the marath'damane. Unfortunately all my stabs have been as weak as the one in this log on the marath'damanes and none have yet died. Starting to think it might be the oak javelin or maybe just my soft hands.

It's the javelin. It and sai are prac efficient but bad damage. Get a red stone / basi / cc.

Except no one roleplays anything remotely like that and as you point out, it'd get farcical pretty quickly if they did.

Why are you complaining about the warrant when you for some reason rolled a stab in front of witnesses? Even if you had blicked her, it would still be a warrant. If you don't want a warrant, then don't roll stabs in front of everybody.

The shitty thing about this is that you used intel from what was at that time your own team - that she was running a locate. In DS pk where SS/LS were allied, I remember people would often yell 'truce over' to indicate that we stop sharing info and working together. It's just a basic trust thing that now gets disrupted because we don't know when in your mind the truce is over. Clearly in this case the DS were still around, and the people pking were still considering themselves allied.

I'd be curious to know what the Seanchan Clan RP towards this is. Doesn't the Empress want marath'damanes alive? To be leashed and trained?
Also, wouldn't receiving a justified warrant make you want to amend your ways and ask for forgiveness (With the mandatory pardon system, it's easier now than ever to get a pardon) rather than become the thing you've been warranted for...?

Malak wrote:No it is not. Ss stands as a seperate clan. We are not murderers. Clanned ss shouldn't be attacking without reason and certainly not during ds pk.

SS having access to Where, and Who give them all the powers a Same Side stabber could ask for which is exactly what Xin appears to be doing. But, Seanchan are not murderers? Can someone elaborate on that point please. Are there repercussions? And as an aside, does Xin get in trouble with Fal Dara? Does Xin need to actively stab/attack a certain amount of people south of Fal Dara before being no longer welcome there? (Does no longer welcome equate to a warrant or just a standard ban?

And to further derail this thread, EQ returns have become rampant? Probably because Smobbing is no longer a semi safe way of casually playing and gearing up. Now it's quiet, no smob trains, no global invitations because spies are literally looking for that information and will attack your smob group. So unless you are on with established friends or people you can trust and are paranoid and constantly watching for stabbers, you're out of luck. I'd rather go out and Pk in lithe gear and hope for the best than smob for 2+ hours, collect 2-3 pieces of gear I need and die to a same side stabber or group.

I'd also like to mention that I have no qualms with established "same side oriented" LS clans. (You know what to expect) My qualms are with "Justice" or "Moral High Ground" clans that same side gratuitously. I'm currently not sure where to classify Seanchan clans other than generalized same siding predators. If this is not the case, please correct me.

The whole transfer of Seanchan to LS was silly. They are just murderers without consequences now. They should have just been turned into humans then applied to whatever clans they wanted, if they got in, they get to keep all their qps and that rank. It's not like rank is associated with any power or benefit other than the bonuses with rank 7.

Not unless we treat it as a case of him being a darkfriend here, since it didn't happen on our lands.

A lot of the fun of pk is being able to coordinate as a group and try to outplay the other group - I think SS of all sides would have an appreciation for that part of pk.

I haven't looked this up except briefly, but broadly LS (going by wiki - pre-Falme fall) would be the Westlands: Altara, Amadicia, Andor, Arad Doman, Arafel, Cairhien, Ghealdan, Illian, Kandor, Murandy, Saldaea, Shienar, Tarabon, and Tear, as well as four major city-states: Falme, Far Madding, Mayene, and Tar Valon.

For Wotmud that would be: Amadicia, Andor, Emond's Field/Manetheren, Arad Doman, Cairhien, Illian, Saldaea, Shienar, Tear, Far Madding, Mayene, and Tar Valon.

editing for constructive suggestion: Is it possible that like other LS clans, that SS doesn't wage war against more than 3-4 of these nations on those lands, and that there is rules like calling out truce/no truce etc to avoid opportunistic same siding and smoother integration? I think the Seanchan in the books were pretty honourable, so something around that maybe?

Marath'damane are to be captured whenever possible and brought to Seanchan lands for training my qualified trainers, Sul'dam's. If they cannot be captured, or resist being captured to the point where it harms Seanchan soldiers then they are to be killed. However there are those that believe that marath'damane represent a mortal threat to the homelands and must be destroyed on sight.

OOC: Ask the marth'damane if they will swear the oaths. If they say yes, and if you can offer the oaths to them, then bring them to the place where they can swear said oaths. If they refuse to swear the oaths then you can kill them.

Personal opinion: Not sure how it fits that you actually PK with them and then decide to kill them without notice or warning. You either agree to work with them, or your don't. Not sure how I see you get it both ways. Now, if you were never grouped with them there is a case to be made that you never worked WITH them, just worked AROUND them and the greater danger was with DS until it wasn't.

Was Xin grouped?
