For the weight component of bash, it's just weapon weight. For BMI considerations, it's naked weight + equipped weight (inventory weight does not matter though it will lower your ob), and for encumbrance it's both equipped and carried weight.

Huh, so the r8 "+/- 1 to BMI" choice could represent a +/- 10% chance in bashability. Though thinking about it, it'd take potentially drastic changes in some cases to actually alter it by 1.

Likewise interesting to see how weapon weight/ob play into the calculation for bash as well.

so stab damage would be all possible between 10x and 15x or it picks between 10-15 and multiplies by that?

Think either way it means 7d3 is actually better damage then 3d7 which is what I had been thinking...

I hope you get to decipher the throw mechanics, I just noticed with a lowbie that I am leveling I landed 100% over 200 throws on trees and grass, then missed 3 in a row against a large bat. Bet there is some flying equation in there as well.

Bash question: you say above that weight component is only weapon weight, so if wearing a shield with a 1 handed weapon the weight of the shield is not added? Does shield weight factor in if you are only wearing a shield and no weapon?

I believe it's the former. Once the damage roll is calculated, it creates a range of 10x-15x that value and then picks the final damage within that range. I don't have the code for the number picking but I would assume that the distribution is uniform.

Vampa said he has the projectiles code and will toss it my way at some point :)

Shield weight does not factor into the equation at all. The only reference to shield wearing in the bash code is that you must wear one to attempt the bash (or wield a weapon). It will help you in terms of affecting pb if you prac shield parry though, which does marginally increase your chances.

Am I missing something or is this saying that vs a fade with an OB of say 200 and parry of 150 that dodge doesn’t even matter until you hit around 165?

As someone who lost 150 dodge yesterday to this it feels pretty bad :p

What weight were you testing with? What I'm seeing, fiddling around with random numbers, is a pretty significant difference between 138 and 145 db or so, which anecdotally has been about what I've been told. For instance, with a 15 lb weapon (heron med weight), throwing in 200 ob and 130 pb (guessing offensive zerk), I see

65% against 130
60% against 138
57% against 140
51% against 144
42% against 150

As someone who also has 150+ db, getting bashed so much is really depressing. I'm with ya there Fermin.

Considering what Fermin was bashed with was hatchet, and from around what I remember getting OB and parrywise zerk:

Opponent db: 150
Hatchet 15.5lbs/zerk 210 ob/120 pb/riding
57% bash chance

That's assuming i'm remembering numbers correctly or that I'm relevantly close.

Concerning dodge itself, I believe it is extremely sub par, especially now that we can play with the actual percentages.

You're still one of the fools like me who refuses to go combo and try and live out the dodge glory. Feels bad for sure.
