Seandar Central Square
Enormous green lacquered and gold chased lanterns encircle the square,
arching far overhead in graceful half-moon shaped curves. The ground is
made up of pure white blocks that sparkle faintly in the light. Dominating
the center of the square is a fountain as wide as two wagons. In the center
of the fountain are nine silver moons as large as shields. Perched atop
each moon are ravens made from onyx, each carving so intricate they almost
seem to move within the misting spray of the fountain's water jets. To the
south the Palace is visible, while broad avenues branch out on all sides.
Hung from each of the lanterns are enormous bronze wind chimes of all
different sizes, each carefully crafted by master artisans.

Goob-Two carefully walks over to the fountain and peers in.

Gaia holds up a hand.

Gaia says, ‘Wait.’

Gaia tugs on her a’dam.

Goob-Two waits.

Gaia glides over to the fountain and peers in,

Gaia nods to Goob-Two.

Gaia says, ‘Off you go then. There appears to be minimal corlm and torm dung. Only the best water for my Damane.’

Goob-Two leans in hungrily and gulps the water.

Goob-Two pauses for a breathe and gulps more water.

Gaia pulls hard on her a’dam.

Gaia says, ‘Stop.’

Goob-Two grimaces and backs away from the fountain.

Gaia frowns with displeasure.

Gaia says, ‘How greedy of you. Not leaving any water for the other stock.’

Gaia mutters in disgust.

Goob-Two steps back from the fountain and hangs her head.

Goob-Two sighs, ‘I apologise, Mistress.’

Gaia says, ‘I'm sure you do.

Gaia gives a flat look.

Gaia says, ‘Perhaps water from the horse trough tomorrow.

Cal Elis Road
Huge blocks of shimmering white stone are fitted together so perfectly that
only a line as thin as a hair can be seen where they are joined. To the
south a hum of conversation can be heard over falling water. Large wrought
iron gates stand open to the east, above them is a picture of a true blood
handing a cloak to a naked man on his knees. From the west comes a faint
smell of decay from a circular courtyard.

The Square of Dishonor
Unlike the stones of the Cal Elis Road to the east, the ones that form the
floor here are of jet black stone that has been polished to a mirrored
gleam. The same stones form the walls, leaving the sky open above. This
draws ones eyes to the only gruesome decorations here, bodies of men and
women hung by their feet, with their eyes cut out. Each corpse sways in the
wind, the sound of the ropes that hold them creaking. These are the bodies
of those that have found dishonor in the eyes of the Empress, for crimes as
great as murder or as petty as a chambermaid daring to look into the eyes
of a true blood.

Ji Road
From the north comes the tinkling burble of a large fountain resounding
out over the shimmering white stones of the road. The thick and bitter
smell of kaf wafts in on a warm breeze from the open door of a large cream
stone building with a thick slate roof to the east. A small sign above the
door shows a cup of kaf nestled against a rather ample bosom. The road
continues to the north and south of here.

Ji Road
As broad as five coaches, the smooth and perfectly fitted shimmering white
stones of the road proceed to the north and the south of here. To the east
an extremely large doorway leads into a very big building. It seems as if
the scale of the building itself is almost double what is normal. Large
brass pots full of red carnations stand on either side of the doorway.
Attached above the door is a single very large axe with green and white
tassels attached to it. The Imperial Palace of the Empress stands on the
rising path to the south, the road dips into a tunnel beneath it leading to
the southern gate.

Ji Road Beneath the Palace
A cavernous tunnel, its circular walls lined with tiles, stretches out to
the south. To the north the road climbs upwards as it moves out from
beneath the vast Imperial Palace above. The tiles that line this part of
the tunnel are of a lovely amber color. Pieces of glass have been ground up
into the glaze that coats them so they reflect the light with a subtle
glitter. The shimmering white stones of the road are as perfectly placed as
ever. A slightly echoing effect is made as people travel along the length
of the tunnel.

Ji Road Beneath the Palace
The tunnel is wide enough for a parade of s'redit to pass through without
bumping shoulders. On either side of the tunnel are long silver holders for
torches to be placed into. The tiles in this part of the tunnel are of a
rich blue color that is almost exactly the shade of the sky. Above is the
Imperial Palace stacked atop the tunnel. The road procedes to the southern
gate and north to inner city of Seandar.

through the tunnel and freshen the air. Young common women hawk their wares
on either side of the road as it progresses beneath the Imperial Palace,
their cries echo out slightly in a cavernous effect. The road continues on
its straight north and south course.

The tiled walls of the tunnel are of an almost translucent lilac color,
the shade of those same flowers as they reach their peak in the early
spring around Seandar. This creates a nice contrast between the thick white
stone slabs of the road as it passes due south and north of here. To the
north comes the faint cries of women hawking their wares, while to the
south a large gate can be seen.

Deep Wood South Gate
A pale creamy wood that has been so carefully smoothed and joined that it
appears to be two massive seamless sheets make up the imposing gates that
lead to the south of Seandar. They are banded in broad strips of copper
with bits of jade placed in an almost maze like pattern. The shimmering
white stones of a wide road lead beneath the Imperial Palace of the Empress
towards the City of Seandar to the north. A small watchtower stands above
the gate looking out over the southlands.

A gargantuan wooden gate stands between the city of Seandar and the fields
and mountains of the south. Travelers hurry in and out of the capital like
a river flowing in both directions. Guards can be seen perched on the walls
above, watching down among the people and off into the southern distance
for signs of danger.

While no road has been cleared, the prefered way is clearly differentiated

moving about gently in the breeze. The road continues on a straight north
and south course. To the west is a large building. A painted copper sign
depicts a dog standing on its hind legs with a red ball in its mouth. The
leaded glass windows prevent one from seeing what the shop has to offer
within.

Large red roses climb the back of the brick building to the west, their
decadent fragrance filling the air. They stand in lovely contrast to the
shimmering white stone blocks that make up the wide road. Sand is thrown
down nightly and scrubbed in with large brooms to scour the blocks clean of
daily traffic. The Rahein an Mael Boulevard connects to the east of here.

Rahein an Mael Boulevard
From the west comes the intoxicating smell of roses, gently drifting over
the wide shimmering white stone blocks of the boulevard. A large building
with a thick thatched roof stands to the north. Above its arched doorway
are lightning bolts cut from sheets of silver. Streamers of green and white
flutter in the breeze from rope lines strung between the buildings. To the
west lies the grand Cal Elis Road. To the east the boulevard continues.

Entrance to a Small Palace
Large ferns in tall silver pots stand in various artistically placed
positions around the room. Against the north white plaster wall are a
series of thick wooden pegs, where the leashes of the damane are placed
when the sul'dam no longer holds them. A large ledger sits atop a teak
desk, its pages filled with the entries of who is using the various public
damane for tasks. Thick burgundy and rose carpets cover the floor and
muffle footsteps. Wooden bead curtains cover a doorway to the east, while
to the south is the boulevard.
