Prologue: Got a call on my T-Mobile wireless hotspot that humans were on IoMM. I started the 8 way phone-call and began our journey.

This vessel surely owes something to Atha'an Miere principles of ship
design with the way that it carves smoothly through the waves of both river
and ocean. Commands are barked out and obeyed by the crew with military
precision, and this ship seems cleaner than most of its kind. Small sea
birds circle overhead, looking for prey on the ship, or perhaps waste from
the ship.

Low Dunes
A few grasses and small shrubs are the only inhabitants of these small sand
dunes, the result of constant battering by ocean waves brought upon by the
seasonal trade winds. Atop the dunes however, a clear view lets you see
your surroundings. A small peaceful lagoon is to the north bordering the
sea, and all around you stretches the steadily rising island. To the south,
jagged rocks in a pile seem to have been simply ripped from the earth.

Briefly on the start of the fight where Nevaeh got spiked - I've seen a few logs where this comes up so I just want to throw it out there - if you see both weakened fireball and melting ice spikes going on at the same time - probably choose fireball or switch to your fast weave (flamestrike/HoA) to save sps/improve casting time.

I may be over interpreting Hress' data, but fireball can still perform admirably even when it is weakened. Melting ice spikes are essentially always bad. If both are going on at the same time then you are very much out of ice spikes ideal range and probably within a range where fireball should be selected.

Melting ice spikes in the 70-95 range apparently do 8d7 which when charted against flamestrikes 9d6 on anydice is really similar, but longer to cast and more expensive to cast.
