a bunch of people were communist in the 1970s, that doesn't really mean anything today (russia being an example)

speaking of the soviet union, anyone watch chernobyl on hbo yet? ... 2 episodes out brand spanking new and they are delightful!

Communism is attractive academically - it wasn't until we saw it tried that people understood how dangerous it can be. Makes sense that some people in like the 60s or whatever were attracted to it.

Mexico is the US’s largest trading partner. Last year it sent about $346.5bn of goods such as avocados, tomatoes, clothes and cars across the border. A 5% tariff would amount to a tax increase of more than $17bn that will largely be passed on to US consumers.

Mexico will pay for it!

I don't think it makes sense to even call the Republican party conservative anymore.
